{Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real}

round button chicken
I hope every had a Happy Thanksgiving last week!  This blog post is in part to remind myself to give Thanks every week, not just once a year.

Pretty

I made this up for Christmas, it was so easy, but does require some hand sewing skills.  I'll be posting more about what it is and where I learned about it on Monday.  But for now it is my pretty, both the older girls tried to snag it and turn it into different things, just this morning I made the finally decision and finished it up took a photo and only thing left is to hide it in my suitcase.

Happy

Okay so this week Happy and Funny are interchangeable.  It really just makes me happy to see my girls playing together.  I think these pictures say a lot.  Sorry about the bad quality, it was light where I sit and darker where they where playing at night I might add.

Funny

Littlest got ahold of Middlest riding helmet today.  She knows what it is for too!  Oona made the mistake of teaching her about horsy rides.  Only they call them foofy rides.  It was very funny and very cute seeing her put on the helmet and then demand her Oona give her a foofy ride!  LOL!

Real

Real this week is my laundry.  No I won't be showing a picture, and I am actually reasonable caught up.  The thing about laundry is that it is never ending, and if you miss a normal load on a normal day, it can easily feel like you are failing and that you will never get caught back up!  Well I want to share this because I felt that way, but I realized, that while I normally do 2-3 loads of laundry a day, it really is easy to get caught back up if I focus on adding just one load a day. So after missing several days last week and feeling bad about myself, here I am Thursday morning more caught up that I have been in a while!
 Of course this does take being at home.  Teaching my older two girls about laundry is making a big difference as well.  Lastly, I am making an effort to wash things from the bottom of the baskets, you know the never never land that clothes your kids don't really fit or like hides.  Well by washing these things and then pulling them out and putting them in storage or getting rid of them makes laundry look less intimidating as well.  It does make sense if you have less clothes you have less dirty, so by removing things not worn, missed or fitting you will have less laundry.  It also seems simple but it is something I find I have to remind myself of every 3-4 months.

  1. I had to do some extra laundry to catch up after having some sisters-in-law stay for Thanksgiving week... I was surprised at what a hurtle it seemed to be!
